Ask America is looking to increase its survey takers staff to 1,000,000 internationally by year end 2006. This would solidify Ask America's database as one of the largest available. If you are considering becoming a Survey Taker, the following Frequently Asked Questions may help you decide if the position is right for you.

What is a Survey Taker?
Survey Takers are individuals who are paid to answer questions about products and services.

How do the Survey Takers answer the questions?
The surveys are sent to the Survey Taker through an email with a link. The Survey taker logs in with their username and password (provided by Ask America) and simply answers the questions online.

Why do clients pay for people to take surveys?
For two reasons: first they discover how a particular group of consumers feels about their products and services; second, it helps them to identify prospective customers.

How much are Survey Takers paid?
Survey Takers are paid $30 per hour. Each survey has an expected time in which to complete and the Survey Taker is paid that amount per survey. When sent a survey, the survey taker will be informed of the amount that the survey pays.

Can a Survey Taker earn more than that?
Yes, some surveys are very time sensitive, and the client will pay additional (up to $50 per hour), but these are not the norm.

Can a Survey Taker work part time?
Survey Takers can work any schedule they wish. Each Survey Taker indicates the maximum number of hours he/she wishes to work in a given time period.

What if I do not have time to take a survey or just do not want to take a particular survey?
You are not under any obligation to take any surveys. Upon receiving the surveys, if you wish to take them then do so, if not then simply ignore the surveys.

How often am I paid?
You are paid each Friday for the surveys which you conducted up to the previous Friday.

What is the maximum number of hours that I am allowed to work?
Ask-America does not allow Survey Takers to work more than 40 hours per week.

Is my information shared with the public?
No Ask-America will only share your information with our clients. We prescreen every client, and you will recognize the majority of them as household names.

Will I receive additional email from your clients?
Yes, you are likely to, but you can create an email account that you use as a Survey Taker that is separate from your main email account.

Should I be worried about Identity theft etc?
No. Neither Ask-America, nor any of its clients will ever ask you for your social security number, banking accounts, or any other sensitive financial information used to commit identity theft.

Do I have to pay anything to become a Survey Taker?
No.

How do I become a Survey Taker?
To become a Survey Taker, you must apply now. After applying, our team will review your application and if you meet our qualifications, you will receive a login to complete our sample survey. The Sample Survey will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes and must be completed fully and honestly.

How many surveys will I be given each week?
That depends on you, when you answer the sample survey it gives Ask-America an indication of your interest, etc. Thus the more categories you fit into the more likely you are to take surveys.

What if I just say I am interested in everything, will that increase the number of surveys I receive?
In the short run maybe, but after completing the initial survey, you will receive calls from clients. If we determine your answers were untruthful, you will be banned from receiving additional surveys.
